Thank you for visiting. My name is Enriqueta and I love to cook, try new recipes, and grow my own herbs and more recently my own vegetables.

I’m not a vegetarian but I’m indifferent to meat. I cannot live without pasta and Italian food. I adore pesto, prosciutto, a good loaf of fresh bread, parmigiano reggiano, fresh mozzarella, olive oil and for me there is no substitute for rucola and tomatoes. If you ask me for my favorite food, the answer, no doubt, is pasta aglio e olio.

I also love the vegan side of Lebanese food. I have a romance with strong and spicy flavors. I cannot eat without dessert. I adore panna cotta with strawberry coulis, chocolate mousse, crémé brulée and I frequently crave for orangettes.

I’m always thinking about the next recipe and talking about food. I cook when I’m happy and I when I’m sad I cook too. Cooking and feeding my family and friends is my way to say I love them.

I love flowers, candles and set the table. And for me to see people’s faces when they are eating my meals and the after lunch - after dinner conversation, are just priceless.

I believe happiness is in those little details and in the simple things of life, and very often the smallest things are the most significant. I count my blessings and every day when I wake up, I thank God for my life.

I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. I lived in Madrid, Geneva, and New York. Since 2007, I made Southern California my home, where I live with my husband and our three boys.
